A.L.X.

A.L.X.

The world as we knew it has collapsed. A.L.X.’s last album, “No Eyes for the Future,” was a potent premonition of the turbulence of 2008 as seen through rock and roll eyes. Now, with a new band and new sound, A.L.X. dares the listener to join him in his journey back into the light.

Combining the influences and decadent atmospherics of 70’s era Berlin with a postpunk apocalyptic landscape, the electric fusion of the new A.L.X. sound is the defining soundtrack for a world ready for change, all the while mocking its shallow excesses with swaggering sexuality and an irresistible veneer.

Anchored by legendary drummer Thommy Price (Billy Idol/Joan Jett) and guitarist Jimi Bones (Blondie), A.L.X. and his band drive their melodic hooks deep into your psyche and leave you forever wanting more. The music will be your lover, the music will be your light.

2009’s new project, ”Love in the Face of Fear”, leads the way forward by unabashedly releasing songs as they are finished to chronicle in real time the shifting sands of this turbulent era–music matters most when it is fresh.

The first release, “Hipster”, will get your New Year rolling in a forward direction as a meditation on the solipstic world view of nightlife vampires, fiddling with their haircuts as the New World burns.

So get up, fasten your seat belt and get ready for the ride of your life.
